Anas Abu Znaid is an experienced academic and engineer specializing in power systems and smart grid technologies. He currently serves as a Lecturer at Hebron University in Palestine, where he has been teaching electrical engineering, power electronics, renewable energy systems, and industrial applications for over five years.
He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with high honors from Istanbul Aydın University, where his thesis focused on designing a novel controller for residential homes connected to smart grids. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering from Palestine Polytechnic University.
Anas has hands-on experience working in energy laboratories at both Istanbul Aydın University and Koç University in Turkey, where he was involved in research and development activities in the field of smart energy technologies. Additionally, he worked with ABB and Siemens in Turkey as a machine operator and research assistant, focusing on SCADA systems, PLC programming, photovoltaic solar systems, and intelligent electrical network technologies.
He is highly skilled in AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, and various solar analysis and simulation tools.
His current research interests include intelligent energy systems, peer-to-peer energy trading, AI-based energy management, and system simulation for electricity markets. He is a member of several professional organizations, including IEEE, the Palestinian Engineers Association, and the Jordanian Engineers Association.
