The launch brought together a diverse mix of stakeholders, including representatives from local government, energy and mobility sectors, community groups, educational institutions, and industry leaders. Cork City Council, in collaboration with Tyndall organized the event to foster local engagement and collect feedback on the proposed TIPS4PED platform functionalities. A key goal of the TIPS4PED project is to develop a digital twin model for the pilot area in the Docklands of the city.

The event featured presentations on Cork Docklands development, the TIPS4PED project, and the envisioned digital twin model for Cork. In a subsequent workshop, participants broke into roundtable discussions where they identified specific needs and potential contributions to the TIPS4PED model from their respective sectors.

This pilot lays the foundation for transformative, scalable energy solutions that will help shape the move to increase the sustainability of urban living.”

Corina Hanrahan from Cork City Council, remarked, “The TIPS4PED launch marked an exciting beginning, bringing together diverse voices and expertise that will shape Cork’s sustainable energy future.
