ORCID Dr. Bevin K C joined IERC as a Postdoctoral Researcher in June 2025. Prior to this, he worked as a Power System Lead Engineer at Kalki Communications Technologies Ltd. (Kalkitech), India, from January 2024 to May 2025.
He earned his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi in 2024, with a thesis titled “Modeling and Operation of Local Electricity Markets for Future Power Distribution Networks.” He completed his Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Power Electronics and Power Systems at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay in 2013, and his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Government Engineering College, Thrissur, Kerala, in 2010.
Earlier in his career, from 2013 to 2018, Bevin served as an Assistant Professor in the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, Thrissur, Kerala.
His research interests include power system analysis and optimisation, distribution network modeling, local electricity and flexibility markets, virtualisation and digitalisation of power systems, and the application of cryptography in the energy sector.
