Samaneh joined IERC in July 2022 as a Research Assistant. She assists in projects related to building energy performance.
She received her Master’s degree in Energy Engineering from the Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. She focused on improving the efficiency of photovoltaic panels as part of her thesis in the field of renewable energy systems.
After graduation, she worked as a research assistant in well-known energy institutes in Iran including Sharif Energy Research Institute and the International Institute for Energy Studies for 6 years, where she and her colleagues conducted research projects in the field of modeling the energy supply and demand of Iran, developing the energy balance for Iran’s provinces, developing Iran’s annual energy outlook, and analyzing the potential for energy efficiency improvement in the industry sector. Moreover, she conducted a research project on improving the efficiency of photovoltaic panels by applying cutting-edge approaches such as the radiative sky cooling technique at the University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran.
Her main research interests include solar energy systems, energy management in buildings, and energy modeling.
