Dr Musannif Shah

Postdoctoral Researcher

Dr Musannif Shah joined IERC as a Postdoctoral Researcher specializing in renewable and thermal energy systems. Before joining IERC, he worked at the Institute of Advanced Technologies for Energy “Nicola Giordano” (CNR-ITAE) in Italy, where he researched low-grade industrial waste heat recovery for sustainable process cooling and heating and also conducted numerical analysis of adsorber/desorber of an adsorption chiller.

He has earned his PhD in Energy Science and Engineering from the University of Naples “Parthenope,” where he focused on designing and modelling of polygeneration systems for sustainable applications. During his PhD, he was also a visiting scholar at AGH University of Science and Technology in Poland, contributing to district heating and cooling networks as well as renewable hydrogen production studies.

Dr Shah also holds an MSc in Thermal Energy Engineering from the National University of Science and Technology, Pakistan, with research on solar absorption cooling systems for cold storage. His interests include integrated building energy systems, industrial waste heat recovery, solar-assisted thermal technologies, and the optimization of thermal energy conversion through numerical and experimental approaches.
